Dear all, and please please share. We are excited to announce the poster for our upcoming Play Day! Tuesday 6th August 2019 at Stratton Park, Basingstoke. We have lots of exciting activities taking place for the whole family. We have Miller’s Ark Farm, Vocalskills Choirs Basingstoke, Basingstoke Hockey Club, Basingstoke Rugby Club, Pop Up Play Village UK, Bubble Making, Story Telling, Baby Play, Arts N Crafts, Kempshott Village Hall teas and coffees, Ice Cream and Slush Puppies, Sweet Stall, The Peppered Pig Bar & Grill, lots of play opportunities and much much more!! The event is open to everyone! This event is funded and supported by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and the Basingstoke Children, Young People & Families Team . We look forward to seeing you. Entry and parking is free, most activities are free, however some are at a small fee. All paid for stalls are raising money for Basingstoke and District Young Carers

YCF 2019 – Thats a wrap.

What an amazing weekend!. 28 Young Carers from Basingstoke & District Young Carers attended the Young Carers Festival at the YMCA Fairthorne Manor, Cudridge between Friday 30th June and 2nd July 2019. They joined over 2000 other young carers from across the United Kingdom. The weather was extremely hot but this did not stop the young carers from enjoying themselves. Friday night, 2000 young carers watched the sky light up with the opening fireworks followed by a band and fairground rides. Water activities were most popular on Saturday followed by a Silent Disco.

A water fight started down at the river, followed by a cooling off session in the recently brought paddling pool. There were lots of activities for the young carers to do in the voice zone and mini activities scattered across the site. The BBQ food for lunch was a brilliant addition along with the chill out zone in the woodlands where you could cool off.

Basingstoke & District Young Carers are now raising funds to be able to take another 30 Young Carers to next years festival. If you would like to donate please get in contact.
